Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Locums Job in Idaho Call Only Beginning ASAP - Ongoing Assignment
Coverage Details
5-7 dates needed monthly October through December
Credentialing timeframe: 45 days (temporary privileges available)
Shift Description
Call type: Beeper
Response time required: 30 minutes
Average phone consults: 3-5 per day
Patients seen: 5-6 per day
Admissions: 2-3 per day
Call Details
Call ratio: 2-3 per day
Call backs: 1-3 per day
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Idaho license or IMLC required
Fellowship preferred
Required Procedures/Skills
Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management
FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
OB ultrasound performance and interpretation
Level I/Screening (viability)
Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
Amniocentesis
Routine and vaginal deliveries
Low forceps delivery
Decision-making for C-section
Complicated deliveries
C-sections
Breech deliveries
Multiple births
Abruptions
VBACs
Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Assignment Details
OB/GYN provider will manage clinical needs of patients who may be seen by FM residents; supervising attending physician is a FM Hospitalist
Current OB/GYN group has notified hospital leadership that provider coverage will be limited beginning in September, creating an ongoing need for call coverage to support patient care services.
Trauma Level: 2
RN support: 3-5
Office staff support: 2
Average deliveries per year: 1,100
Facility has a Level III NICU and manages high-risk antepartum patients
MFM resources and services available through the on-campus clinic
OB/GYN provider will manage clinical needs of patients who may be seen by FM residents; supervising attending physician is a FM Hospitalist
