Job description
Locums OB/GYN Hospitalist Pomona, NJ (NJ License or Willing to Obtain) Why This Role Ongoing coverage until a permanent physician is hired
Approximately 36 hours per week
Laborist-style position focused exclusively on inpatient care
No call or weekend responsibilities
Temporary privileges available
Assignment Details Location: Pomona, New Jersey
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
End Date: Ongoing until a permanent provider is hired
Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week, Monday ÄìFriday
Shift Options:
- 7:00 AM Äì7:00 PM - 7:00 PM Äì7:00 AMCoverage: Combination of day and night shifts
Setting: 100% inpatient labor and delivery
Call: None
Weekends: None
EMR: Cerner/Oracle
Credentialing: Approximately three months
Temporary Privileges: Available
Providers Needed: One full-time physician; multiple providers may be considered
Requirements Board-certified OB/GYN
Active New Jersey medical license or willingness to obtain one
Must provide earliest available start date
NPDB Self-Query dated within 30 days required at offer
Minimal malpractice history; disclosures reviewed individually
Experience with hospital-based obstetrical and gynecological care
Ability to work both day and night shifts
Clinical Details Level III trauma environment
Approximately 1 Äì9 laboring patients daily
Approximately three cesarean sections per day
Responsibilities include:
- Labor-floor management - Patient inductions - Cesarean sections - Gynecological emergencies presenting through the ED - Inpatient gynecological consultationsNo leadership or teaching responsibilities
