Call Schedule: On call while working in clinic 8a-5p; Night call 5p-8a; Weekend call Fri 5p - Mon 8a
Call Type: Night + Weekend call
Patient Volume: 8-10 deliveries per month; fewer than 15 patients per day in clinic
Physician in Practice: 2 OBGYNs
Support Staff: RN, MA, C-section assist when on call
Specialty Backup: N/A
Case Mix: C-section rate 21%; occasional high-risk but mostly low-risk
Procedures:
- Labor & Delivery: Low-risk pregnancy (pre-existing problems, history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis); FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); OB ultrasounds (Level I/screening, Level II/targeted); routine delivery (vaginal, low forceps, C-section decision-making); complicated delivery (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions); repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Gynecology: Surgical gynecology (D&C, hysterectomy, uterine suspension, anterior/posterior repair, tumor resection, incontinence/infertility procedures, bowel injury repair, appendectomy); laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromal tubation); operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)

- Offsite drug screen required; agency must schedule no earlier than 14 days from start date

Requirements:
- Active License: New Mexico medical license
- BC/BE
Privileging Criteria:Case logs must reflect 50 vaginal deliveries, 20 C-sections, and 25 gynecological surgical procedures (including 5 major abdominal cases) in the past 12 months.
