Position Overview \ N
An establishedhealthcare organization in **Utica, New York** is seeking a **Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician** to join its Women’s Health team. This full-time opportunity is primarily focused on **comprehensive gynecologic care**, and obstetrical experience is not required.\ N
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The position also offers opportunities for **APP mentorship, clinical leadership, quality improvement, and professional development**.\ N
Key Responsibilities \ N
Clinical Care & Leadership \ N
- Provide comprehensive gynecologic care, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services.\ N
- Evaluate and manageroutine and complex gynecologic conditions.\ N
- Perform in-office and surgical procedures, including hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and colposcopies.\ N
- Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices.\ N
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.\ N
- Maintain effective communication with patients, staff, and clinical colleagues.\ N
APP Oversight & Team Collaboration \ N
- Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.\ N
- Support APP education, training, and professional development.\ N
- Promote teamwork and efficient coordination across the Women’s Health team.\ N
- Participate in APP orientation, training, and performance feedback.\ N
- Foster a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.\ N
Quality& Compliance \ N
- Monitor and promote high standards of patient safety and quality of care.\ N
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.\ N
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional, and institutional standards.\ N
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.\ N
- Support initiativesfocused on patient safety and continuous improvement.\ N
Education & Professional Development \ N
- Participate in staff education and clinical teaching opportunities.\ N
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous professional development.\ N
- Stay current with advances in gynecologic medicine.\ N
- Incorporate currentevidence-based practices into patient care.\ N
Patient-Centered Care \ N

Qualifications \ N
- MD or DO degree.\ N
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in **Obstetrics & Gynecology**.\ N
- Active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York.\ N
- 3–5+ years of gynecologic practice experience preferred.\ N
- **Obstetrical experience is not required.**\ N
- Experience mentoring or supervising APPs is strongly preferred.\ N
- Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.\ N
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.\ N
- Commitment to patient-centered care, medical ethics, and continuous quality improvement.\ N
