Job description
Job Type: PRN
nJob Purpose: To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
nJob Functions:
nnConduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
nEvaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
nInterpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
nEstablish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
nConduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
nPerform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
nOversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed
n nEducation & Qualifications:
nnDegree in Occupational Therapy
nMUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
nOngoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
