nJob Summary
nThe Occupational Therapist PRN plans, organizes, and provides professional services in therapeutic programs. Clinical practice includes evaluation and therapy planning to help rehabilitate disabled individuals. Works closely with patients and family to meet treatment goals.
nEssential Functions of the Role
nnnEvaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
n
nnPerforms thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately.
n
nnCommunicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
n
nnSupervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
n
nnAdvances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
n
nnImparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
n
nnMaintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
n
n nKey Success Factors
nnnMust possess excellent social relation skills to include excellent oral and written communication skills.
n
nnMust demonstrate aptitude in assigned areas as specified for each clinician.
n
nnExhibits proven synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team. Assures excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.

nnPossesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.

nQUALIFICATIONS
nnnEDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
n
nnEXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
n
nnCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
n
n nOccupational Therapist (OT)
nBasic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
