Great Plains Regional Medical Center provides Full Spectrum of Outpatient Therapy Services to Restore Mobility. Whether you're recovering from a sports injury or medical procedure, our outpatient therapy department offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic options, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology therapy, and sports medicine. We work with patients to reach their maximum potential to get through daily life activities and work. Nothing is one-size-fits-all—we offer individualized care to meet your unique needs.The Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is responsible for assessing patients' ability to perform daily living and occupational tasks safely and effectively. Based on the evaluation, the therapist develops and implements individualized plans of care, utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities and techniques. Progress is monitored and documented through subjective and objective measures, with modifications made as necessary. The Occupational Therapist provides education to patients and their families or caregivers regarding functional deficits, adaptive strategies, and the use of assistive equipment. Additionally, the therapist plays a key role in discharge planning and supervises certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with state laws and professional standards.We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
