The Role
As an Occupational Therapist at Bluebonnet Pediatric Therapy, you will work with children to enhance their ability to perform daily activities. You will assess individual needs, create personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with families to support each child's development. Your expertise will help children thrive in their environments, whether at home, school, or in the community.
What You'll Do
Assess children's needs through observations and standardized tests.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
Provide therapy sessions that focus on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to therapy.
Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve goals.
Educate families on strategies to support their child's development at home.
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
What We're Looking For
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
Experience working with children, preferably in a therapeutic setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and families.
Ability to assess and adapt therapy techniques to meet individual needs.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
Nice to Have
Certification in pediatric therapy specialties.
Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Familiarity with various therapy techniques and approaches.
