BeFit Rehabilitation solely focuses on providing rehab services to residents within assisted living facilities. We want our team to truly become a part of their dedicated community and bring quality of life to the residents beyond the gym. nJob Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including skilled nursing facilities, acute care, and home health. This role involves working with individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their maximum potential in daily living activities. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
nResponsibilities
nnConduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental abilities.
nDevelop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
nImplement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities.
nProvide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
nCollaborate with healthcare professionals in discharge planning and ongoing care coordination.
nMaintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
nActively lead exercise classes, participate in community events, and work collaboratively with community personnel.
nStay current with medical terminology and best practices in occupational therapy.
n nRequirements
nnValid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Florida.
nExperience in a skilled nursing facility, acute care, or home health setting preferred.
nKnowledge of physiology and medical terminology essential for effective patient care.
nFamiliarity with working with individuals with disabilities, including autism.
nStrong communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
nAbility to perform discharge planning effectively to ensure continuity of care.
nCommitment to providing compassionate care that enhances the quality of life for patients.
