Job Description
Staff Occupational Therapists are responsible for direct patient care evaluating and treating a variety of individuals based upon setting. The successful candidate will exhibit strong customer service skills, clinical skills, and patient outcomes. They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development. Effective time management and teamwork skills are an essential quality that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the Health System. They have responsibilities towards supervision of assistants involved in the care of their patients.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an Accredited Program in Major/Area of Concentration: Occupational Therapy
Preferred Education
Master's
Preferred Experience
1-2 years of prior experience delivering direct patient care to individuals with a variety of deficits, which may include orthopedic, neurologic, developmental, and cognitive shortfalls. Consideration will be given to new graduates with strong clinical and professional skills. De-escalation training within 6 months.

Job Specific Essential Functions
Practices Occupational Therapy consistent with, and is knowledgeable of, the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Effective time management skills including ability to meet productivity standards with compliance and quality. Help facilitate coordination of care with other medical professionals, community resources, patients and caregivers to improve health, wellness and quality of life. Effectively directs the work of and assists with skill development of Occupational Therapy.
