Occupational Therapist
ScheduleFull-time Days (Rotating Weekends)
Facility is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Facility provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient, and outpatient surgical services.
Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Occupational Therapist completes patient assessments, and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Occupational Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patients physical therapy to support patients throughout home health and the continuum of care.
Job Responsibilities
You will provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
You will assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status. You will participate in patient placement and in the development of the total plan of care.
You will provide purposeful and skilled interaction care. You will use procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physicians plan of care.
You will observe and report patients reaction to treatment and changes in patients condition.
You will communicate pertinent payor needs/requirements to physician, treatment team, patient and patients family in a timely manner.
You will prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
Job Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Bachelors Degree
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YR OF OT EXPERIENCE WHETHER IN ACUTE CARE, INPATIENT OR REHAB (please specify on submittals)
ONSITES ARE MANDATORY

Compensation: Salary range from ***/hr-***/hr
SOB on a case by case basis and comes with a 2 yr commitment
Fee: 20% of the annualized salary (split per contract)
