In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Assesses the needs of the patient using evaluation tools and clinical observationsDevelops treatment plans, including goals, and methods to achieve identified goalsProvides goal directed treatment consistent with current OT practice standards and/or ensures that OTAs deliver goal-directed services appropriatelySelects and uses learning strategies to share occupational therapy treatment choices and outcomes with patients, family, care team and consumersEffectively uses available information sources to report therapy activities and patient performancesPromotes growth and development while evaluating performance and maintaining standards of assigned individualsAuthorized to have access to medications within their scope of practiceOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training:Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic institutionMaster’s degree preferredCurrent licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North CarolinaWork Experience:New graduate or experienced clinicians consideredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Professional competency as a general practitioner of OT as defined by certification and licensureAbility to select age appropriate functional goals and treatment techniques for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patientsInterpersonal skills that promote cooperative patient and peer behaviorAccurate written and verbal EnglishPhysical Requirements:Ability to communicate orally, read, write, hear, and visually assess patient statusAbility to utilize proper body mechanics when examining or delivering careAbility to transfer and transport patients of various body weight and compositionAbility to stand, bend, stoop, lift, turn, twist, sit and walk frequentlyAbility to demonstrate proper use of and manipulate equipment#CFVH-2026Required Licenses and CertificationsOT/L - NC Board Of Occupational TherapyCape Fear Valley Health System is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
