Occupational Therapist - PACE Program
nPay Range: $40.49-$50.61 per hour, based on experience
nSign-On Bonus: $5,000

nWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to participants in a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) setting.
nThe Occupational Therapist will provide acute, restorative, and maintenance therapy based on participant needs. Services may be delivered in a variety of environments, including the Day Center, nursing home, and participants' homes.
nThe ideal candidate will be committed to promoting independence, safety, quality of life, and functional abilities for older adults and individuals with complex healthcare needs.
nKey Responsibilities
nConduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
nDevelop individualized treatment plans and care plans based on participant needs and goals.
nProvide occupational therapy services consistent with established goals and clinical recommendations.
nDeliver acute, restorative, and maintenance therapy as appropriate.
nProvide services in a variety of settings, including the Day Center, nursing facilities, and participants' homes.
nEvaluate participant progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
nAccurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and other required clinical information.
nCoordinate home modification programs designed to improve participant independence, accessibility, and safety.
nTrain and educate family members, caregivers, and staff on techniques to maximize participant safety and functional abilities.
nMentor, coach, counsel, and provide performance feedback to department staff as appropriate.
nMaintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and corporate compliance requirements.
nParticipate in required training, educational programs, and staff meetings.
nFulfill designated responsibilities during disaster recovery and business continuity situations.
nCollaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to promote positive participant outcomes.
nMinimum Qualifications
nBachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
nCurrent, active, and unencumbered Occupational Therapist license in Maryland.
nAt least 2 years of appropriate occupational therapy experience preferred.
nAt least 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred. Appropriate clinical placement experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement.
nMust meet required employee medical clearance/medical statement requirements.
nStrong communication, organizational, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
nAbility to work effectively with participants, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
