Overview
nPosition: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist
nLocation: 7160 N University Dr., Tamarac, FL 33321
nSchedule: Weekdays, 2 days/week, PRN
nCompensation: $40-$50/hour pending experience
nSelect Physical Therapy is seeking a PRN Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

n nResponsibilities
nnnCollaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
n
nnHigh Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB,clinician expertise, patient perception).
n
nnPersonalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
n
nnRelationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

n nQualifications
nMinimum Qualifications:
nnnGraduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
n
nnCPR certification
n
nnValid driver’s license
n
n nPreferred Qualifications:
nnnAt least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
n
nnMinimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
n
