Job description
We are hiring per diem Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic care team at Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell!
nWeekly pay up to $55 an hour.
nAs an Occupational Therapist, you provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload while also participating in the clinical team process. You also provide teaching and training to caregiver staff and supervise other therapists, assistants, aides and students as required.
nEducation & Experience:
nnnBachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.
n
nnCEU’s per state licensure requirements.
n
nnAppropriate licensing requirements by individual states must be maintained.
n
n nDuties & Responsibilities:
nnnScreens patients/residents
n
nnEvaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans.
n
nnMay perform additional assigned administrative duties such as: assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.
n
nnUnder a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised and group.
n
nnContributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.
n
nnConsults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers.
n
nnMonitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
n
nnDocuments activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
n
nnDemonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
n
nnCommunicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers and supervisor.
n
nnProvides appropriate consultation to the facility.
n
nnParticipates in clinical program development and implementation.
n
nnParticipates in the training and orientation of other staff, students and volunteers.
n
nnParticipates in the interviewing process for new staff.
n
nnParticipates in census building and marketing activities.
n
nnDemonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field.
n
nnComplies with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures and protects residents’ individual health information.
n
nnMay perform additional duties as requested by supervisor.
n
nnParticipates in quality improvement activities.
n
nnResponsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and/or outcomes required to meet or exceed the expectations of those utilizing or impacted by the department.
