Job Opportunity
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Occupational Therapist to join our team. This position will float between units as necessary, offering a dynamic work environment in a short-term acute care setting.
Shift Information
Shift: Day, 5x8-hour (07:00 - 15:00)
Weekend Coverage: Required, approximately 4 weekend days per month
Requirements Valid state license required (compact license must be in hand at the time of submission)
Inpatient acute care hospital experience is mandatory
1 year of relevant experience, particularly in large acute care hospital settings
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NBCOT certification
Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments, evaluations, and develop plans of care for patients.
Provide education to patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety measures.
Oversee lifting and transfer protocols to ensure patient safety.
Perform regular reassessments to track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Total Staff Beds: 536
Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
Daily Census: Approximately 165 patients
Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more
