Job Description
Occupational Therapy - OT Acute Care Hospital
Schedule
Day shift, Monday to Friday, 5x8 hours, from 09:00 to 17:30. Weekend and holiday rotation required, with every 6th full weekend. Weekend shifts are from 07:30 to 16:00 unless otherwise approved. A day off during the week prior to the weekend shift and the week after is provided.
Assignment Details
Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Floating between facilities may be required.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience required; first-timers not accepted.
BLS certification and a state license are required.
Pending state license accepted.
Adult care experience is required.
Experience with adaptive equipment, hip fractures, total hip replacement, knee injuries, and total knee replacement is required.
Experience with lifting/transfer, patient/family education, safety/injury prevention, telephone calls, and documentation is required.
EPIC experience preferred.
Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to patients in a healthcare facility setting.
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Implement and monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic procedures and safety protocols.
Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
