nResponsibilities
nnnDevelop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders
n
nnEstablish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan
n
nnSupervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis
n
nnEducate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals
n
nnPrepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment
n
nnMaintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics
n
nnPerform other duties as assigned
n
n nQualifications
nnnB.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution
n
nnCurrent license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required
n
nnCurrent CPR certification required
n
nnMust pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
n
