Job description

Occupational Therapist - OTR/L

Transform Lives as an Occupational Therapist in the Vibrant Bay Area of Tampa

Are you an energetic Occupational Therapist eager to assist patients in reclaiming their independence and enhancing their overall well-being? If you are ready to make a significant difference while advancing your career in a region renowned for its breathtaking beaches, lively atmosphere, and welcoming community — here lies your remarkable opportunity.

We are in search of a full-time licensed OTR/L to join a dynamic and innovative therapy team that emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and impactful outcomes. No matter if you are a seasoned professional or a recent graduate, this position allows you to contribute to meaningful work in a region that embraces both tranquility and excitement.

Craft Individualized Treatment Plans: Recognize patients' needs and formulate targeted therapy approaches to help them reach their functional objectives

Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive skills, and daily living activities

Engage with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with OTs, PTs, STs, medical professionals, and nursing staff to provide integrative, comprehensive care

Educate Patients and Families: Inform patients and their loved ones about therapeutic methods to facilitate ongoing improvement at home

Track Progress and Adjust Treatment: Monitor clinical developments and modify plans as necessary to ensure patients remain on their path to recovery

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Continuing education or postgraduate certifications are encouraged and supported

Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license

NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) mandatory

A deep-seated passion for helping others and a strong desire to support individuals in achieving their highest level of independence

Exceptional, empathetic communication abilities with both patients and team members

Creative problem-solving skills to tailor plans to diverse needs

Confidence in working both independently and collaboratively within a cohesive interdisciplinary team

Welcoming, team-focused atmosphere with avenues for professional growth

Full-time employment with adaptable schedules

Clinical mentorship alongside career development resources

Access to state-of-the-art tools, facilities, and documentation systems

Engagement in quality improvement and innovation projects

In this role, your impact extends far beyond symptom management — you will rebuild routines, restore confidence, and reignite joy in everyday activities. Whether guiding stroke recoveries through fine motor rehabilitation or assisting orthopedic patients in regaining mobility post-surgery, you will leverage your expertise to provide holistic, person-centered care that nurtures resilience and self-sufficiency.

This is not a position for checklists or shortcuts. Instead, it's an opportunity where every patient has a narrative, and each therapy session represents a pivotal chapter in their journey to recovery. Collaborating intimately with fellow therapists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, you'll co-create rehabilitation plans that are as distinct as the individuals to whom they are catered.

We have cultivated a unique environment here. Our rehabilitation team doesn't merely clock in and out — we uplift one another, share expertise, and celebrate every success (big or small) together. You will discover a workplace where your voice is valued, your professional development is prioritized, and your daily contributions yield visible impact.

Plus, consider the alluring backdrop of Tampa: a region that captivates and inspires. Leave behind the monotony of concrete jungles and immerse yourself in a landscape characterized by sparkling beaches, lively downtown areas, and thriving parks perfect for kayaking at the weekend or strolling under the sun. This is a community filled with innovation where flavors collide, art flourishes, and live music fills the air. With food trucks offering mouthwatering options to classy eateries, there's always something to tantalize your taste buds in this eclectic gastronomical landscape.

As our community thrives with artists, dreamers, and creators, it also retains a leisurely pace that allows for genuine connections, relaxing walks on the beach, and sun-filled weekends exploring vibrant local markets.

We are looking for individuals who perceive occupational therapy not merely as a profession, but as a calling. You should feel a genuine spark when guiding a patient toward using their hand once more, walking with newfound confidence, or expressing a thought they hadn't articulated in a while.

If you are an experienced OTR/L or a recent graduate ready to embark on your professional journey, you will flourish here if you approach your work with heart, determination, and humility. If the blend of high-quality care and a high-quality lifestyle resonates with you — this is where you belong.

This is not just about a job. It's an invitation to contribute to something that transcends a mere title. Here, your efforts will influence futures, energize recoveries, and reclaim what has been lost, all while you enjoy the equilibrium of work and life in this remarkable area.

If you are ready to embrace growth, give back, and anchor yourself in a community that genuinely cares — we look forward to welcoming you aboard.
