nOverview
nOccupational Therapist (Flexible/PRN) - Join our Rehab Without Walls team in the West Valley (Estrella)
nWho we are looking for:
nnnExperienced therapist interested in working with aspecialized neuro population
n
nnProvide1:1 outpatient therapy in assisted living settingwith access to on-site gym, outdoor therapeutic spaces, walking paths, gardens, and art rooms
n
nnYou valueautonomy, creativity in treatment planning, and patient-centered care
n
n nWhat you'll receive:
nnnFlexible PRN schedule – approximately 2 days per week
n
nnPaid per Hour(not just per visit)
n
nnOpportunity to practiceneuro-focused therapy with functional outcomes in your patients' lives
n
nnCollaboration with amultidisciplinary clinical care team
n
n nResponsibilities
nWhat you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:
nnnPerform evaluations and develop treatment plans
n
nnRegularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
n
nnPerform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
n
nnCommunicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
n
nnCommunicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes
n
n nQualifications
nWhat you will need:
nnnMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program
n
nnCurrent, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicing
n
nnCurrent CPR Certification
n
nnA minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist
n
nnDemonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred
n
nnCommunicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interaction
n
nnAbility to lift 50 pounds
n
nnMoving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
n
nnDuties require fine motor skills , visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
n
nnAdditional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
n
