nJob Overview We are seeking a patient-focused Occupational Therapist to help clients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. You will provide effective, client-centered interventions that enhance independence and improve quality of life.
nResponsibilities
nAddress client’s aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life quality
nSelect and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions
nApply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
nTeach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
nAssess client’s home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
nRecommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
nGuide and educate family members and caregivers
nObserve, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
nCollect data and document processes followed
nRequirements
nProven working experience as Occupational Therapist
nExcellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
nFamiliarity with ADLs evaluation tools ( e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale)
nAbility to manage patients with different types of personalities
nProfessional behaviour.
nExcellent interpersonal communication skills
nValid license to practice occupational therapy
