nPosition: Occupational Therapist- Outpatient
nLocation: Newtown, CT
nSchedule: Monday through Friday
nSalary: Hourly rate of $60/hr
nOur outpatient orthopedic team is seeking an occupational therapist to join us in providing quality patient care.

nThis position will be performing FCE’s out of outpatient therapy offices in the central, southern & western ½ of CT.
nA functional capacity evaluation (FCE) is a comprehensive assessment of an individual's physical abilities, often used to determine their capacity to return to work after an injury or illness. It evaluates various physical tasks relevant to the job, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying, and assesses the individual's strength, range of motion, and endurance. Select Physical Therapy will train the right candidate in the administration of FCE evaluations.

n nResponsibilities
nnnBest Practices: Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
n
nnBuild Relationships: Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
n
nnCollaborative Approach: Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
n
nnHigh Standard of Care: Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
n
nnInnovative Opportunities: Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
n
nnLeadership: Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
n
nnPersonalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.

n nQualifications
nnnGraduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
n
nnState Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible)
n
nnCPR certification
n
nnValid state driver’s license
