Job description
Occupational Therapist
Conecta Education is currently hiring an Occupational Therapist in the greater Santa Cruz County Area:
Full Time
August 2026 to June 2027
5 days per week, Mon-Fri
37.5 hours per week, 7:45 am to 4:15 p.m. 1/2 hour unpaid lunch
Elementary and Middle School age students
Pay starts at $78 an hour!
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Program
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and self-care skills
Develop measurable goals and treatment plans aligned with educational objectives
Deliver direct therapy services (individual and/or group) in school-based settings
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success
Participate in IEP meetings, including initial, annual, and triennial reviews
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, service logs, and assessment reports
Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
Provide consultation to school staff regarding classroom accommodations and strategies
Ensure compliance with Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and California state regulations
Support students in accessing the curriculum through adaptive techniques, equipment, and environmental modifications
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current, active licensure through the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
Valid California driver's license (if travel between school sites is required)
Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
