Job description

Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Previous experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
Knowledge of IEP process and therapy documentation requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Main Responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with varied abilities
Conduct assessments and participate in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support students' goals both in and out of the classroom
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state standards
Encourage development in fine motor skills, sensory processing, adaptive functioning, and self-care
Engage creatively with students, using evidence-based strategies and interventions
Attend relevant team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
