Job description
Make a lasting impact supporting students' development in a close-knit educational setting. This contract, part-time opportunity is designed for a skilled Occupational Therapist who thrives in school environments and values relationship-based practice. You'll work 2-3 days per week in a district serving approximately 600 students, partnering with educators and families to help children reach their full potential during the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license and eligibility for school-based practice
Experience providing therapy in K-12 educational settings (preferred)
Strong understanding of IEPs and the ability to write and implement therapy goals
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered environment
Flexibility and adaptability to meet a range of student needs in a small district
Core Responsibilities: Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
Administer assessments, interpret results, and develop treatment plans as part of multidisciplinary teams
Participate actively in IEP meetings: setting goals, monitoring progress, and documenting outcomes
Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
Provide resources and training to support staff on the use of adaptive equipment or classroom modifications
Maintain all required documentation and compliance standards
