Occupational Therapist School Setting in Belleville, MI
Make an immediate impact supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Belleville, MI. As an Occupational Therapist on a contract assignment, you’ll work collaboratively with educators and families to empower students, enhance their skills, and help them reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Occupational Therapist license
Previous experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Ability to tailor interventions to students individual needs and individualized education plans (IEPs)
Commitment to maintaining accurate and timely documentation
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for occupational therapy services
Develop and implement therapies and intervention plans in coordination with teachers and support staff
Document student progress and maintain required records
Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultative support to families and educators
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Educate staff and students on strategies and tools that support students participation in school activities
