Job description

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in New Jersey (or eligibility to obtain)
Previous practice in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare OT settings
Strong understanding of IEPs, documentation, and progress reporting
Collaborative spirit for partnering with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Flexibility and adaptability for meeting the diverse needs of students
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services within the school setting
Support the integration of therapy strategies throughout the classroom environment
Maintain clear, accurate records and participate in IEP meetings, contributing clinical insights
Consult regularly with teachers and staff to ensure effective approaches to student challenges
Educate families and staff, promoting carryover of therapeutic activities across settings
Monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and uphold all professional guidelines
