Job description
Make an impact supporting students in the school setting as an Occupational Therapist in a full-time, contract role near Cupertino, CA. If you're passionate about helping children achieve their fullest potential, this opportunity offers a chance to apply your expertise across three welcoming school environments. You'll provide a combination of direct therapy and consultative services, currently serving approximately 22 students directly and offering consultation for 13 others.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist license (valid in California)
Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
Understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal writing
Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites
Flexibility and excellent organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to IEP requirements
Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
Maintain thorough documentation for direct services, evaluations, and consultations
Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to support student needs
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations as a valued team member
Consult regularly with school staff to foster inclusive educational environments
Travel between three schools as part of your weekly schedule
This full-time role consists of 8-hour days, supporting a diverse group of students in vibrant learning communities. In this dynamic setting, you'll not only expand your clinical skills but also play an essential role in the academic and developmental growth of students.
