Job description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting children and families through a birth-to-age-five educational program. This opportunity offers part-time flexibility-work just two days per week (with scheduling options to suit your needs) and make a meaningful difference for young learners across a full school year. You'll split your time across three sites, with one location serving as your home base, and collaborate closely with dedicated educators and administrators.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience or interest in early childhood education
Knowledge of Head Start and Early Head Start program standards
Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEP) and experience collaborating with district teams
Strong communication skills for supporting and engaging with parents and multi-disciplinary staff
Comfortable traveling between sites and providing support to home visitors, specifically when working with children on ISSP/IEP plans
Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services for children ages birth to five within Head Start and Early Head Start settings
Work as part of a collaborative team to create, implement, and track IEP goals and progress
Support and coach parents in strategies that enhance their child's development and participation
Assist and advise home visitors during visits for families with ISSP/IEP needs
Provide direct and consultative OT services in multiple early learning settings, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
Maintain thorough documentation and contribute insights in team meetings
