Job description
Bring your expertise and passion as an Occupational Therapist to make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-8 students across North Chicago and Waukegan campuses. This contract, part-time opportunity allows you to support a diverse group of students by traveling between two to three campuses in Lake County, providing service to those who need it most. With a flexible schedule totaling 20 hours per week-spread across two to three days-you can maintain a great work-life balance while continuing to advance your professional skills.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution
Minimum of three years' experience delivering occupational therapy services, with at least three years spent in a school environment
Valid Illinois state licensure to provide occupational therapy, plus registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
Dedication to fostering student growth, independence, and participation within the school setting
Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to K-8 students across assigned campuses
Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans to promote academic and functional success
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and school activities
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring in accordance with school and state guidelines
Offer training and resources to school staff and parents to reinforce therapy strategies
