Job description

Key Qualifications and Expertise:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Active OT license in Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
Solid understanding of school-based OT practices, including IEP development and progress monitoring
Effective communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Ability to adapt interventions to meet varied student needs across different ages and backgrounds
Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
Primary Responsibilities: Assess students' functional abilities, motor skills, and sensory needs within the school setting
Design and implement individualized treatment plans to support academic and daily living goals
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for classroom participation
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting
Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance with state and federal regulations
Educate staff and families on adaptive equipment and techniques as needed
