Job description
Step into an engaging full-time opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, working with both elementary and middle school students in a vibrant school setting close to Minneapolis, MN. This contract assignment runs from September 18th through January 4th and offers a rewarding mix of collaboration and direct impact on students' success.
You'll work closely with students, faculty, and your team while also guiding and supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) across two welcoming school sites. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about school-based OT practice and eager to make a difference every day.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current Occupational Therapy license and required state credentials for school-based practice
Experience as a school-based OT strongly preferred
Ability to provide mentorship and supervision to a COTA
Flexibility to manage caseloads across middle and elementary school settings
Solid communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Comfortable contributing to IEP processes and documentation
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students across developmental stages
Assess students' needs, develop individualized goals, and track progress
Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation and success
Supervise COTA's caseload, providing guidance and support as needed
Travel between two nearby school sites as required by the assignment
Maintain all necessary records and compliance documentation
