Job description
Empower students as they grow and develop by using your occupational therapy expertise in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity near Osseo, MN, is ideal for those who are passionate about fostering life skills and independence in K-12 learners.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current licensure as an OT in the state
Previous school-based OT experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside educators, families, and other professionals
Ability to adapt interventions for a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate students' needs, set goals, and develop individualized treatment plans to support academic and functional success
Deliver direct OT services according to IEPs, using evidence-based approaches tailored to student needs
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for each child
Document progress, maintain compliance with all legal and school requirements, and participate in IEP meetings
Educate staff and families about strategies to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond
Support in creating an inclusive and accessible school environment
