Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting K-10 students, including those on the autism spectrum, at a school near Pipe Creek, TX. This contract position is ideal for therapists seeking a flexible schedule, as services are needed one day per week. Your caseload will be manageable-approximately four students requiring both evaluations and direct therapy, focused exclusively on articulation and fluency.
Your expertise will make a tangible difference, as you help students develop crucial skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. You'll work closely with school staff, families, and other professionals to deliver high-quality, individualized care. Qualifications:
Hold a current Texas State License in Occupational Therapy (required)
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Prior experience providing school-based OT services, especially with K-10 students
Proficiency in conducting evaluations and delivering both direct and consultative therapy
Comfortable working with autistic children and addressing articulation fluency goals
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site occupational therapy services to a small, focused caseload
Conduct evaluations and deliver direct therapy for articulation and fluency
Develop individualized treatment plans targeting functional goals for each student
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and district regulations
This contract role offers an hourly pay range of $42 to $47, reflective of your specialized skills and commitment to student success.
