Job description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting students for the full school year near Powder Springs, GA-just 20 miles west of Atlanta. This full-time role focuses on empowering K-12 students to thrive both academically and personally by utilizing your expertise within school settings. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and fellow therapists to ensure each student's unique needs are addressed through tailored interventions.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current Georgia licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT environments preferred
Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
Ability to conduct assessments and develop effective, measurable goals
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Flexible, adaptable approach for meeting varied student and district needs
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across grade levels
Complete evaluations, develop individualized plans, and participate in IEP and eligibility meetings
Use evidence-based strategies to support students in achieving academic and functional milestones
Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting interventions as needed
Provide support and resources to teachers and staff for in-classroom success
Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that promotes independence
