Job description
Make a meaningful impact in schools by utilizing your skills as an Occupational Therapist in the Redwood City, CA area. This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated professional to support students and staff, delivering high-quality services to meet identified needs within the school environment.
You'll have flexibility to structure your schedule in one of two ways: provide five consecutive weeks of full-time service or commit to two days each week until the end of the school year, ensuring that 25 days of service are achieved. With competitive compensation between $55 and $65 per hour, this is an excellent chance to focus on student success while enjoying a rewarding experience in a supportive setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
Experience in school settings preferred
Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
Familiarity with IEP process and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
Adaptability to changing caseloads and student needs
Primary Responsibilities: Provide direct therapy services to students based on IEP requirements
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Consult and collaborate with teachers, faculty, and families
Maintain thorough and timely paperwork and progress reports
Support classroom staff with strategies and accommodations for student success
Participate in team meetings as needed
