Job description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across K-12th grade levels in a school-based setting near vibrant San Jose, CA. This full-time, 4-month position begins as soon as possible and extends into the academic year, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents as an Occupational Therapist.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
A valid Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility for licensure in California
Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with K-12 caseloads, including a variety of developmental and physical challenges
Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with educators, families, and related service teams
Comfortable adapting strategies for both individual and group therapy sessions
Key Responsibilities: Assess students and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to educational goals
Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to help students participate fully in academic and daily life activities
Document all services and progress, ensuring compliance with educational and legal standards
Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, IEP processes, and ongoing parent-teacher communications
Offer recommendations to staff regarding positioning, classroom modifications, and adaptive equipment
