Job description
Step into an impactful contract opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services to students in a vibrant school environment near San Marcos, TX. This full-time position offers a unique chance to cover maternity leave, beginning in late fall, and support students' growth and development in academic and daily living skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Occupational Therapist license (OT) in Texas
Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
Solid understanding of IEP development and documentation
Skillful in assessments, direct therapy, and consultative services for students with diverse needs
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, working well with teachers, families, and related service personnel
Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student goals and changing caseload demands
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to students, supporting their participation in school routines
Assess and document students' functional skills and create individualized treatment plans
Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Provide consultative support and training to school staff to enhance inclusion and student success
Monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain clear, timely documentation
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements for school OT practice
