Job description
Step into a dynamic contract role supporting students as a skilled Occupational Therapist experienced in school-based and healthcare settings. This opportunity focuses on providing essential therapy services to students, including school environments, home health scenarios, and through teletherapy options. Your expertise will help students achieve their goals, improve their daily functioning, and enhance overall educational outcomes.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid occupational therapy license for the state
Experience or strong familiarity with school-based OT practices
Background in home health and teletherapy occupational therapy services
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Commitment to evidence-based practices and individualized care plans
Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation requirements
Ability to adapt interventions to varied environments, including remote and on-site support
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and areas for intervention
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals
Deliver engaging occupational therapy sessions in school, home, and virtual settings
Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
Provide consultative services and resources for staff and parents to support carryover of strategies
Adapt interventions to address the unique challenges of each setting, ensuring continuity of care
