Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' growth and development as a school-based Occupational Therapist! This full-time contract position begins August 11th and runs through June 10th, with the option to continue into the academic year. You will serve a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, providing both direct therapy and consultative services to general education and mild to moderate needs individuals near Vacaville, CA.
What we're looking for:
Licensed Occupational Therapist in California (or eligibility to obtain CA licensure)
Recent experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
Familiarity with delivering services to general education and mild/moderate students
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Ability to conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and document progress
Commitment to supporting inclusive educational goals for all learners
In this essential role, you will: Deliver occupational therapy services through both direct interventions and consultative models
Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to ensure optimal student outcomes
Assess students' needs, develop IEP goals, and track measurable progress
Provide strategies, adaptation recommendations, and resources to staff and caregivers
Foster a supportive, positive environment for students to achieve greater independence
Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as needed
