Job description
Enhance the educational journey for students by providing expert occupational therapy services in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity, located near Westfield, IN, seeks a skilled OT to cover a maternity leave from November 23 through March 10. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Valid state license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice as an Occupational Therapist
Previous experience working in school settings preferred
Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Ability to effectively manage caseloads and adapt to varying student needs
Core Responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
Assess students' functional skills and interpret evaluation results in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual academic and developmental needs
Maintain accurate and timely progress notes, reports, and other necessary documentation
Provide training and resources to teachers and caregivers to support generalization of skills
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to team decisions
