Job description
Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students by providing expert occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work 3-4 days per week, collaborating with educators and multidisciplinary teams to help students thrive both academically and personally.
What You Bring:
Valid license as an Occupational Therapist
Experience in a school setting highly preferred
Expertise in OT interventions for elementary-age children
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individual student needs
Collaborative spirit to engage with teachers, parents, and support staff
Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Assess, plan, and implement therapy goals designed to improve students' participation and independence in classroom activities
Utilize evidence-based approaches to support sensory, fine motor, and gross motor development
Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and therapy sessions
Consult with teachers and other educational staff to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines
Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional insights and recommendations
