Job description
Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a contract basis for the 2026/2027 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to work across two dynamic educational settings near Marana, AZ, where you'll empower learners of all abilities-including those in self-contained classrooms-to reach their fullest potential.
In this rewarding position, you will collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists and educational staff, helping students develop important life and classroom skills. You'll have the chance to make a difference each day while honing your professional expertise in a supportive school environment.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in Arizona
Experience or strong interest in school-based OT settings
Comfort working with K-12 age groups, including diverse developmental and learning needs
Ability to travel between two school locations as needed
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with self-contained classroom environments is a plus
Role Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy interventions under the direction of an OT
Support students' fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development
Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
Adapt therapy approaches to meet the individualized needs of students
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
Maintain a positive, flexible, and inclusive approach in all interactions
