Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the St. Louis area. This contract position provides crucial coverage for a 12-week FMLA leave, serving the Normandy schools, with the possibility of extension if needed. You'll make a meaningful impact by partnering with educators, families, and students, helping young learners reach their potential through tailored therapy interventions. The assignment spans from mid-October through late January, with full-time hours on-site.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Missouri required
Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric caseloads preferred
Ability to manage diverse student needs across multiple campuses
Thorough understanding of IEPs, documentation, and educational best practices
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and families
Must complete district-required fingerprinting and technological compliance
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and indirect OT services to assigned students in accordance with IEP goals
Assess students and develop individualized plans geared to maximize functional independence
Monitor, document, and report on student progress
Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
Contribute to evaluation and eligibility meetings as needed
Maintain timely, compliant documentation per school and federal guidelines
