An exciting contract position is available for two dedicated Occupational Therapists to support K-12 learners in a vibrant educational setting near Silver Spring, MD. This full-time position allows you to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families to help students reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license for Maryland (or eligibility for licensure)
Previous experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective therapy tailored for K-12 students
Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to a diverse K-12 student body based on IEPs and identified needs
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress toward therapy goals
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate therapy strategies into classrooms
Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations and support for student success
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all state and federal guidelines
Educate staff and families on strategies to support student progress at school and at home
