Looking to make a meaningful impact in education? We're seeking a dedicated, in-person Occupational Therapist (OTR) to support students for a full-time, contract opportunity throughout the entire school year. Located near Warren, MI, this rewarding position places you within a collaborative educational environment, where your expertise can promote student growth and success across diverse age groups.
Your skills and compassion will help students overcome barriers, ensuring they can participate fully in classroom activities and daily school life.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Must hold current Occupational Therapist (OTR) licensure valid in Michigan.
Experience working within school settings, providing OT services to students.
Proficiency in evaluation, goal-setting, and treatment planning tailored to school-aged children.
Ability to develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educational teams.
Strong communication and organization skills.
Commitment to maintaining documentation and progress reports according to district requirements.
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students across assigned caseloads in-person.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student participation and access to curriculum.
Perform assessments, write reports, and contribute to eligibility, IEP, and 504 processes.
Develop intervention plans designed to improve fine motor, sensory regulation, self-help, and functional academic skills.
Provide support and strategies to classroom teams, adapting materials as needed.
Maintain accurate, timely records of interventions and student progress.
