Job description
We are hiring a per diem Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic care team at The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham - a 4-star nursing home!
nAs an Occupational Therapist, you provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload while also participating in the clinical team process.
nWeekly pay up to $50 an hour.
nEducation & Experience:
nnnBachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.
n
nnCEU’s per state licensure requirements.
n
nnOT license required in Massachusetts.
n
n nDuties & Responsibilities:
nnnScreens patients/residents
n
nnEvaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans.
n
nnMay perform additional assigned administrative duties such as: assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.
n
nnUnder a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised and group.
n
nnContributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.
n
nnConsults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers.
n
nnMonitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
n
nnDocuments activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
n
nnDemonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
n
nnCommunicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers and supervisor.
n
nnProvides appropriate consultation to the facility.
n
n nSpecific Requirements:
nnnAbility to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
n
nnStrong oral and written communication skills.
n
nnStrong organizational and analytical skills.
n
nnStanding and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary.
n
nnCommunication skills required for directing staff, customer relations, and marketing activities.
n
nnAbility to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and direct patient care.
n
nnAbility to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
n
nnAbility to articulate and comprehend the English language.
