Occupational Therapy AssistantWarm Hearth at Home - Christiansburg, VA 24073Warm Hearth at Home is looking to expand our team of Home Health physical therapists. Warm Hearth Village is a non-profit community of seniors that has been serving Blacksburg and the surrounding New River Valley for over 50 years. Our mission is to foster a person-centered approach to aging in an inclusive environment that redefines retirement, and to nurture a transformative culture where people live and work in community, knowing their contributions are essential to our success.We are currently hiring a regular PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant with the possibility of transitioning to Part time/full time as our census grows. Our Home Health agency is staffed fully in-house with a small, tight-knit administrative staff and HR department. We have experienced steady growth over the past two years with plans of continued expansion to increase our capacity to serve our community.Pay: Hourly - $35-40 depending on experience, and $0.65/mile mileage reimbursementOffice Location: Christiansburg, VACoverage Area: Counties of Montgomery, Giles, Floyd, Pulaski and surrounding areasSchedule: Regular PRN (< 20 hours/wk)Responsibilities:As a COTA, You will:Administer occupational therapy interventions as directed by the POC established by the evaluating therapist in a patient centered, evidenced based approachMaintain clear and effective communication regarding patient care with support staff, physicians, evaluating therapists, and family members to ensure efficient careComplete documentation timely, accurately, and completelyQualifications:Graduate of an accredited COTA programCurrent and valid state license to practice as a COTA in VirginiaDrivers license and proof of auto insuranceExperience in home health setting is preferredAbility and confidence to recognize red flags and/or medical emergencies in the home, and how to effectively triage
