Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Full-Time | Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Queens, NY
Pay: $32.76-$36.34/hr. DO E
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a 384-bed community teaching hospital, is seeking a dedicated COTA to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy team. Provide personalized, evidence-based therapy to patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or chronic pain conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and rehab settings.
Your Role:
Deliver prescribed occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an OTR
Assist with ADL training, adaptive equipment instruction, and home exercise programs
Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions to meet individualized goals
Support student OTAs through supervision and mentoring
Maintain documentation, equipment, and safety standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements Graduate of an accredited COTA program with fieldwork completed
Current NYS licensure or eligibility as a COTA
Strong communication, organizational, and patient-centered care skills
Ability to manage a caseload of 8-14 patients/day
