We are currently searching for a Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) This position reports to the Director of Out-Patient Therapy.
nSchedule: PRN (On-Call) position
nThis position is responsible for:
nnnMonitor resident’s progress and communicate with the Occupational Therapist (OT).
n
nnResponsible for carrying out established resident’s Care Plan and goals as designated by the OT.
n
nnAssist the OT during resident evaluations.
n
nnMaintain documentation in system of resident’s activities, record progress and document billing activities.
n
nnPerform Resident’s Home Assessment as part of the discharge process as directed by the OT.
n
nnPerform Resident’s screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by the OT.
n
n nQualifications:
nnnAssociates Degree from an AOTA accredited program.
n
nnLicensed or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Occupational Therapy Assistant.
n
nnDemonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
n
nnUtilizes effective time management skills.
n
nnAbility to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and residents.
n
